YOGA Project
We propose yoga as a tool for personal and social transformation. Addressing the problems of adolescents and their stressors in a calm, healthy and positive way.
The project aims to respond to the main challenges these young people face in their daily lives:
Knowledge of the body and control of the mind
Active listening of the mind
Breathing techniques (pranayamas)
Tools for knowledge, reflection and evaluation of oneself
Evaluation of the problem of youth radicalization
Development of social and interpersonal skills
Lack of accessible quality training and learning opportunities
The objectives of the project are:
To strengthen and develop their skills in addressing problems of radicalisation and violent extremism.
To make young workers and local communities aware of the importance of correct personal development through yoga and the tools it proposes to promote mental balance in the growth of the individual and social inclusion.
To promote mindfulness activities to guide creativity and innovation.
Prioritise non-formal and informal training, especially aimed at young workers and disadvantaged young people looking for their first job.
Supporting the visibility of activities that allow young people to incorporate healthy alternatives in their leisure time, which favour a healthy balance between self-knowledge, body work and social development.
